Jeff Ewing is a writer from Sacramento, California. His poems, stories, and essays have appeared in ZYZZYVA, Crazyhorse, Sugar House Review, Southwest Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Harpur Palate, Barrow Street, Utne Reader, The San Francisco Chronicle Magazine, Chattahoochee Review, and elsewhere. He has been nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize, as well as for Best of the Net. A selection of his poems received an International Merit Award from the Atlanta Review, and his chapbook In the Forcing House was selected as second runner-up in the 2015 Ephiphany Chapbook Competition.
Jeff’s plays have been staged in New York and Los Angeles. Two of his one-acts were selected for the Samuel French Festival in New York. His full-length play, The Middle of Nowhere, won the Maxim Mazumdar Playwriting Competition, and had its world premiere at the Alleyway Theatre in Buffalo, NY.
